I’m Laurel E. Suarez—educator, creative, mother of five, and the woman behind Flawfully Unapologetic. This brand wasn’t born in a boardroom. It was born in the quiet chaos of life—between motherhood, midnight overthinking, and moments when I had to remind myself that I am still me outside of all the roles I play.

I became a mother young, and I made a vow to myself: I will not become a statistic. I will not be defined by struggle. And so I hustled. I accomplished. I survived. From launching businesses to helping others build theirs, I showed up with fire in my belly and dreams on my back.

But somewhere along the way, I forgot to breathe.

I realized I had spent so much time proving myself to the world that I hadn’t taken time to accept myself. The messy parts. The tired parts. The healing parts. I realized: I don’t have to be polished to be powerful.

That’s when I picked up a candle-making kit with my daughters—and unknowingly lit a match that would spark something in my spirit.

Blending scents became more than a craft. It became therapy. Every fragrance told a piece of my story—joy, grief, courage, reinvention. It helped me reconnect with who I was, and make peace with who I was becoming.

And so, Flawfully Unapologetic was born.

This brand is my love letter to the women who have been everything for everyone but are now choosing to be something for themselves. It’s for those embracing the cracks in their foundation and realizing that’s where the light gets in.
